Meet Mama Bear Sleep Consultant

Hi, I'm Lucy, a certified child sleep consultant based in the North East of England. I am a proud mama to my little girl, who is in fact, the reason I now help parents get the well-needed sleep that they deserve.

​

In the thick of sleep deprivation, it can seem almost impossible to believe things will ever change. Trust me though, they can and will. 

​

If your little one frequently wakes in the night, fights naps, needs rocking or feeding to sleep, battles bedtime, wakes at the crack of dawn or struggles with sleep in any way, then I am here to help.

​

I provide expert advice, a personalised plan for your little one, a supportive and non-judgemental voice and I will give you the confidence to improve your child's sleep.

  • WHAT DOES AN INFANT SLEEP CONSULTANT DO?
    An infant sleep consultant is a professional who specialises in helping parents address their child's sleep issues. They will identify what changes need to made to a child's day and nighttime routine, provide the right plan to help a child overcome any sleep issues and be responsive to any changes that are required during the support period.
  • HOW DO YOU SLEEP TRAIN A BABY?
    There are many different ways to sleep train a baby. I use both room based and non-room based methods. The method I choose depends on the parent's sleep goals, their personal parenting style and the speed at which they want results.
  • DO YOU USE THE 'CRY IT OUT' METHOD?
    No, I do not use the 'Cry it Out' method. I do use the Ferber Method and Controlled Crying however these methods involve the parent returning to the child's sleep space to provide reassurance and comfort.
  • CAN YOU GUARANTEE IT WILL WORK FOR MY CHILD?
    Whilst there is never any guarantee, I firmly believe that if you work with me one-on-one, follow the plan and routine I provide and be consistent with the guidance, you will see the improvements that your whole family needs.
  • WHEN WILL I SEE IMPROVEMENTS?
    The timeframe is different for every baby but improvements are usually seen in as little as 3-7 nights. From starting to having a baby who self-settles, sleeps most of the night and has good naps is usually around 2 weeks, depending on which sleep training method we use for your child.
